Purū - cotton shroud set

A pure woven cotton shroud dyed with natural Indigo in a classic blue and white Japanese Shibori Itajime - a process of folding and clamping the fabric before immersing in the dye vat. This is a gorgeous option for those wanting something simple and unique.
 
The set includes a length of indigo dyed silk ribbon (cut to required length). Or choose plain white cotton ties for a vegan option. Ties wrap around the body to secure the fabric closed.
 
Both shroud and ties are enclosed in a matching cotton bag for storage. This bag is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.
 
The shroud is a simple wrap designed to be laid out on the diagonal, and does not have handles for carrying. A firm backing board, casket, shroud bearer or similar stretcher arrangement will be required. Please talk with your funeral director or cemetery or crematoria staff to discuss requirements suitable for your needs.
