A pure woven cotton shroud dyed with the natural plant dye of Indigo in a classic blue and white Japanese Shibori Itajime - a process of folding and clamping the fabric before immersing in the dye vat. This is a gorgeous option for those wanting something simple and unique.
 
The set inlcudes approximately 6 metres of indigo dyed silk tafetta ribbons to cut as required and wrap around the body to secure the fabric closed. Please refer to the section on shrouding for instructions on how to wrap.  Both shroud and ribbons are enclosed in a matching cotton bag for storage. This bag is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.

  • Your shroud can be stored for many years within it's keepsake bag. A dry and dark place is best to prevent damage. 

    When the time comes, hot iron to remove the fold lines from storage. As an option you may wish to wash to freshen up the fabric. Indigo cotton shrouds can be machine washed on a gentle cycle in warm water. Line dry in the shade.
