Mahurangi - silk shroud set

To create the prints on this pure silk satin shroud, windfall autumn leaves of alder, grevillea, pohutukawa and olive have been gathered from the Mahurangi. These botanicals are bundled up inside the fabric and, using a completely eco friendly process, the colours and prints from the leaves are infused permanently into the fibres.  Dignified, exquisite, natural and unique.
 
The set includes ties to secure the shroud after wrapping.
Choose from either 6 metres of green silk taffetta ribbon that can be cut to desired length OR 4 sewn silk satin ties in burnt gold colour. Both shroud and ribbons are enclosed in a silk bag for storage. This bag is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.
 
The shroud is a simple wrap design and does not have handles for carrying. A firm backing board, casket, shroud bearer or similar stretcher arrangement will be required. Please talk with your funeral director, cemetery or crematoria staff to discuss requirements suitable for your needs.
