Mahurangi - silk shroud set
  • Mahurangi - silk shroud set

To create the prints on this pure silk satin shroud, windfall autumn leaves of alder, grevillea, pohutukawa and olive have been gathered from the Mahurangi. These botanicals are bundled up inside the fabric and, using a completely eco friendly process, the colours and prints from the leaves are infused permanently into the fibres.  Dignified, exquisite, natural and unique.

The set includes 4 green bandeau silk ribbon dyed with wild carrot to secure the shroud after wrapping. Please refer to the section on shrouding for instructions on how to wrap. Both shroud and ribbons are enclosed in a silk bag for storage. This bag is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.
