Kaipara - silk shroud set

This pure silk shroud has stunning green, gold and grey leaf prints on a champagne coloured background. Created entirely from plants indigenous to Aotearoa: Pohutukawa, Mingimingi, Ake ake, Houpara and Kohuhu gathered from the Kaipara area. Real botanicals are bundled up inside the fabric and, using a completely eco friendly process, the colours and prints from the leaves are infused permanently into the fibres.  Luxurious, exquisite and entirely unique.
 
The set comes with silk satin ties hand dyed naturally in moss green. Use to secure the shroud after wrapping. Both shroud and ribbons are enclosed in a matching silk bag for storage. This bag is lined with woven cotton and is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.
 
The shroud is a simple wrap design cut from a zero waste pattern. Please note it does not have handles for carrying. A firm backing board, casket, shroud bearer or similar stretcher arrangement will be required. Please talk with your funeral director or cemetery or crematoria staff to discuss requirements suitable for your needs.
 
A generous length, suitable for average to tall adult of 6ft plus.
