Kōura - silk shroud set

This pure silk shroud has stunning leaf prints in hues of gold, copper and yellow. Created from eucalyptus varieties and New Zealand natives gathered from the Kaipara area. Real botanicals are bundled up inside the fabric and, using a completely eco friendly process, the colours and prints from the leaves are infused permanently into the fibres.  Elevated, dignified and entirely unique.
 
The set comes with 4 silk satin ties hand dyed naturally in a soft amber colour. Use to secure the shroud after wrapping. Both shroud and ribbons are enclosed in a matching silk bag for storage. This bag is lined with woven cotton and is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.
 
The shroud is a simple wrap design cut from a zero waste pattern. Please note it does not have handles for carrying. A firm backing board, casket, shrouding board or similar stretcher arrangement will be required. Please talk with your cemetery or crematoria staff to discuss if they have particular requirements suitable for your needs.
