Mākurakura - silk shroud set

Simple and unadorned but definitely bright in spirit, a beautiful silk shoud in amethyst pink dyed with sustainably sourced Peruvian cochineal. A bold and beautiful aesthetic.
Mākurakura = glowing.
 
The set features 7 metres of wide silk tafetta ribbon hand dyed with delphinium, hibiscus and marigold flowers. The ribbon is in a continuous length, designed to be cut to the required size and used to secure the shroud in 3 to 4 places. Both shroud and ribbon are enclosed in a silk bag for storage. This bag is suitable as an urn for natural interment of ashes, or to keep as a memento.
 
The shroud is a simple wrap around, envelope style, design and does not have handles for carrying. A firm backing board, casket, shroud bearer or similar stretcher arrangement will be required. Please talk with your funeral director or cemetery or crematoria staff to discuss requirements suitable for your needs.
